Relay for Life
The Food Fight is in progress.  The last day to bring in your canned/boxed/bagged food items or sabotage money is Wednesday morning April 16^th.  Thank you for your help in  supporting Relay for Life and Catholic Charities.

Chaffee Zoo Field Trip:

We are going to the Zoo May 6th.Please fill out and turn in the permission slip and money. 

Mass and May Crowning
We will celebrate May crowning and Grandparents day on Friday, May 3nd, at 8:30am in the auditorium.  This is always a favorite with the Grandparents!

Talent Show:

This years talent show is on Friday May 9^th.  Anyone interested in performing must try out by April 30^th.

April 17^th—Holy Thursday Prayer Service 8:15, Early dismissal 12:30

April 18- April 25—School Closed for Easter Vacation

April 27 -  Relay for life

April 28—School resumes

Prayer of the Month:  Act of Hope

Sight Words:  went, out, want, there, ran

Lenten Reflection:

We will present our Lenten Reflection to the school at morning assembly on Wednesday, April 9^th at 8:00

Food Fight:

The competition is not over yet!

Please continue to bring in boxes of cereal, crackers, cans of food, and bags of dried goods like pasta, rice and beans.

Thank you for bringing in food for the “Food Fight” and your donations to sabotage the other grades.

Remember its all for a good cause.  The money will go toward Relay for Life and the food will help replenish the shelves at Catholic Charities.

Holy Thursday

OLM will close on Holy Thursday, April 17^th at 12:30.  There will be no afternoon extended care services.  School will reopen Monday, April 28^th.

Report Cards:

 Report cards went home Friday 3/21. Please read, sign, and return your child’s report card by Wednesday, 3/26.

Conferences:

Parent/teacher conferences are this week.  I look forward to meeting with you and discussing your child’s progress this year.

Early Dismissal:

Dismissal this week is at 12:30  Half day Kindergarten is welcome to stay until 12:30  Extended care is available, please call the office to make arrangements.

During Lent we are donating food to Catholic Charities (3/17-4/16).  Please bring in canned, boxed and bagged food (rice, pasta, beans).  We can sabotage other classes by bringing in money.  A flyer came home explaining the “Food Fight” in greater detail.  The first place class will win a prize.

Rosary & Adoration

Each Friday, at 7:15 in the chapel, recitation of the Rosary and Adoration is offered. All are welcome to attend.

The auction is coming up!  April 12^th at OLM School.  Mark your calendars and plan on attending this school fundraiser. 

Spring Conferences

Spring conferences are March 24^th - March 28^{th .}  These are also minimum days.  Dismissal will be at 12:30.

Report Cards go home on Friday please sign and return them on the following Monday.

Practice, practice, practice:

Please help your child practice all sight words.  Children who have demonstrate sight word fluency can join the sight word club and get a prize!

Dress Code: 

Mrs. Blackburn has reminded us that shoes need to be black, brown, grey, white, or blue, all one color.  If you have any questions please refer to the handbook.

Ash Wednesday/Lent

Lent begins this week. Our School family will gather in the auditorium for Mass and distribution of ashes on Ash Wednesday, March 5th, at 8:15am. Please join us. We will also gather each Friday morning in Lent to meditate on the Stations of the Cross.
