Report Cards:
 Report cards went home Friday 3/21. Please read, sign, and return your child’s report card by Wednesday, 3/26.

Conferences:
Parent/teacher conferences are this week.  I look forward to meeting with you and discussing your child’s progress this year.

Early Dismissal:
Dismissal this week is at 12:30  Half day Kindergarten is welcome to stay until 12:30  Extended care is available, please call the office to make arrangements.

Food Fight
During Lent we are donating food to Catholic Charities (3/17-4/16).  Please bring in canned, boxed and bagged food (rice, pasta, beans).  We can sabotage other classes by bringing in money.  A flyer came home explaining the “Food Fight” in greater detail.  The first place class will win a prize.

Rosary & Adoration
Each Friday, at 7:15 in the chapel, recitation of the Rosary and Adoration is offered. All are welcome to attend.

Food Fight

Annual Parent Club Auction
The auction is coming up!  April 12th at OLM School.  Mark your calendars and plan on attending this school fundraiser. 

Spring Conferences
Spring conferences are March 24th - March 28th .  These are also minimum days.  Dismissal will be at 12:30.

Practice, practice, practice:
Please help your child practice all sight words.  Children who have demonstrate sight word fluency can join the sight word club and get a prize!

Dress Code: 
Mrs. Blackburn has reminded us that shoes need to be black, brown, grey, white, or blue, all one color.  If you have any questions please refer to the handbook.

Ash Wednesday/Lent

Ash Wednesday/Lent

Lent begins next week. Our School family will gather in the auditorium for Mass and distribution of ashes on Ash Wednesday , March 5th at 8:15.  All are welcome to attend. Remember students need to wear their Mass day uniform.

Stations of the Cross:

We will also gather each Friday morning in Lent to meditate on the Stations of the Cross.

Continue to practice:

·      Sight words
·      Reading and counting #s to 30 or higher if you can. 
·      Writing and ordering numbers to 30.
·      Reading and Writing—create simple sentences using sight words and phonetic spelling.

International Night is tomorrow! 
6-8 pm in the school auditorium.
This is a great event, come and see what we have been working on!

We have been working very hard learning all about the Philippines.  Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered to cook something or supply paper goods for this fun filled night.

Valentines Day: 
We will be exchanging Valentine’s  on the 13th.  Please have your child bring 32 valentines to school on or by the 13th.  You don’t need to put each students name on the card simply sign each card with your child’s name.  For example “From Johnny”.

This is also a free dress day. Students are to wear red, white, or pink. 

Snack will be provided.  A sign up sheet is posted outside our class door.
