Kindergarten Newsletter 10/13/14

Letter of the Week: Tt
Sight Word of the Week: do, in, up, to
Prayer of the Month: Hail Holy Queen

Rosary:
Please take some time to pray one decade with your child helping them move from bead to bead. We will say the rosary as a school family Wednesday morning (children may bring their rosary).

Sight Words:
Many of the students are struggling with the sight words. Please practice them daily with your child. Start with three and continue adding until they know the first quarter set. It helps to have the children write their sight words and use them in a very simple sentence. I will be giving the children a sight word test this week.

Halloween Carnival:
Thank you for bringing in the bags of candy.  Your help is greatly appreciated.  Also, stop by the classroom and sign up for a time to work at our class booth. This qualifies for service hours!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

*Free Dress on our field trip
*Children must bring their booster seat

NO SCHOOL FRIDAY 10/10--Teacher In-Service Day.

Rosary: During the month of October we pray the rosary as a school.  Please help your child learn how to move from one bead to the next and practice saying a decade.  This is a wonderful opportunity to brush up on our faith, start a family tradition and teach our children the importance of prayer.

Uniforms: Summer uniform season has been extended for an additional month.

Halloween Carnival: Thank you for bringing in the bags of candy.  Your help is greatly appreciated.  Also, stop by the classroom and sign up for a time to work at our class booth. This qualifies for service hours!
